About Me

Hi there! I’m Amy Brooks, a 33-year-old self-taught chef and unapologetic food enthusiast based in Denver, Colorado. If you’d told me ten years ago that I’d be developing high-protein crème brûlée recipes and, on some days, baking triple-layer chocolate cake just because it sounded like a good idea, I probably would’ve laughed with a mouth full of cookies. And yet, here I am, living that delicious and slightly unexpected dream.

I didn’t go to culinary school. My kitchen has been my classroom, my battlefield, and my sanctuary. It all began when I moved into my first apartment after college and realized that instant ramen and protein bars were not going to cut it for long. I started with what I knew, desserts. Something about the science of baking mixed with the nostalgia of my grandma’s peanut butter pie just felt like home. As I got deeper into my fitness journey, I began craving dishes that could feed both my sweet tooth and my muscles. That’s when I started blending both worlds.

I believe food should nourish without punishing, comfort without compromise, and always bring joy. My kitchen is a space where dinner might be rosemary-thyme roasted chicken with a Greek yogurt pan sauce, followed by a rich slice of pecan pie just because it makes me smile. Some days I make protein mousse. Other days I make cheesecake. Both are welcome here.

Mistakes? I’ve made plenty. There was the eggless egg white cake phase, and the time I tried to turn chickpeas into fudge. That one didn’t go well. But every experiment taught me something. Cooking isn’t about perfection. It’s about play, passion, and persistence.

Now, I share my recipes with others who want to eat well, live fully, and enjoy food in all its forms. Whether you’re counting macros, craving chocolate, or just want a dinner that won’t put you to sleep, you’re in the right place. I test every recipe myself, sometimes twice when it’s especially delicious, and I never share anything I wouldn’t serve to my best friend or my pickiest cousin.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet. Let’s cook something amazing together. And yes, dessert is always on the menu.
