Description

Baked breaded chicken breast is a crispy oven baked dinner made with Parmesan, herbs, and breadcrumbs. This easy recipe delivers juicy chicken with a golden crust using simple pantry ingredients.


Ingredients

6 chicken breast halves boneless and skinless

Salt and pepper

1/4 cup olive oil

2 cloves garlic minced

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 cup dry Italian bread crumbs

1/2 cup panko

2/3 cup Parmesan cheese fresh grated

1 teaspoon dried basil leaves

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)

2. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish

3. Season chicken breasts liberally with salt and pepper on both sides and set aside

4. In a shallow dish mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, onion powder, and black pepper

5. In another shallow dish mix olive oil, minced garlic, and paprika

6. Dip each chicken breast into the oil mixture first

7. Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture and press crumbs firmly so each piece is fully covered

8. Arrange the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish

9. Sprinkle any remaining breadcrumb mixture over the chicken and drizzle remaining oil mixture on top

10. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F and the coating becomes golden

11. Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving

Notes

Press the breadcrumb coating firmly so it sticks well during baking

Use freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking to keep it juicy
