Ingredients
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 small garlic clove, finely minced or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or onion powder
3–4 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
1–2 teaspoons lemon juice
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, and garlic until smooth.
2. Add the chopped dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, and black pepper.
3. Mix well until everything is fully combined and creamy.
4. Taste and adjust with salt, more lemon juice, or pepper as needed.
5. Chill for 15 to 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
Notes
Use yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter, tangier version.
If using yogurt, add a little olive oil for extra richness.
Add finely chopped onion or parsley for extra flavor.
Mix in a bit of grated horseradish for a subtle kick.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
